A fully-involved Tesla fire took in Fairfield County took firefighters nearly 45 minutes to extinguish due to its electric engine. The fire began in Stamford around 11:20 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 15 in the parking lot behind the Blue Ginger Restaurant on Main Street. According to Capt. A two-alarm fire broke out overnight at a building in Fairfield County. Responders in Stamford raced to the scene after receiving calls of a structure fire at 37 Manhattan St. at around 6:10 p.m. Saturday, April 30, said Captain Philip Hayes of the Stamford Fire Department. House Fire Breaks Out In Fairfield County
It took firefighters less than an hour to get a Fairfield County house fire under control over the weekend. The fire was reported just after 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10 in the upstairs bedroom of a home at 340 Haig. Ave., in Stamford. ID Released For Man Who Drowned Off Fairfield County Coast
A Fairfield County man who drowned after being thrown out of a canoe that capsized, along with a friend has been identified. Lorenzo Macua, age 63, of Norwalk, died from drowning when the canoe capsized off Shippan Point in Stamford on Saturday, July 10, said Meghan Bard, a spokesperson DEEP. Firefighters from Fairfield County battled an apartment fire after receiving a report of an explosion and blaze that caused extensive damage to surrounding apartments. Motorists Trapped In Flooded Waters Rescued By Firefighters
Stamford firefighters were kept on the run rescuing residents in flooded vehicles late Thursday afternoon through the evening after a line of heavy thunderstorms rolled through the area causing extensive flooding.
