Man Removes Pride Flag From Popular Beach In Fairfield County, Police Say Detectives in Fairfield County are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man who allegedly removed a Pride flag that was waving at an area beach and replaced it with a small American flag, police announced. The Darien Police Department received a report from an employee at the Parks and Recreation Department who said that a Pride flag was flown at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1 at Pear Tree Point Beach had been removed.
