A 19-year-old man is the latest suspect to face charges in connection to a series of "street takeover" events in Connecticut, state police said.
On Tuesday, June 6, New London resident Freilyn Guzman, age 19, turned himself in to state police after he was found to have participated in a "street takeover" that happened in West Hartford on Sunday, May 14, police said.

Police in Connecticut have released the identity of a teenager found dead inside a home along with two others suffering from stab wounds.
New London County resident Dnazi Uzzle, age 17, of Groton, was found around 3:10 a.m., Saturday, April 15 by New London Police who responded to a residence in the area of Jefferson Avenue and Buchanan Road for a report of an unresponsive female, said Capt. Matthew Galante, of the New London Police.

The threat of severe weather from an approaching round of thunderstorms has just been upgraded for most of the region.
Storm activity is expected from west to east from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, April 1.

The husband of a woman who was found dead inside a Connecticut home that had burned has been arrested for her murder.
George Dodson, age 23, of New London, was arrested on Wednesday, July 20, and charged with murder, said Capt. Matthew Galante, of the New London Police.
The fire at the Sherman Street home was reported around 10:30 p.m., Wednesday, Galante said.

ID Released For CT Man Found Shot Dead On Roadway
Police have released the identity of a Connecticut man found shot dead on a city street.
Abdiel Rodriguez, age 25, was found around 10:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 5 in the city of New London, in the area of Colman Street and West Pleasant Street.
Upon arriving on the scene, officers located and treated Rodriguez who had sustained life-threatening injuries, Capt. Matthew Galante, of the New London Police, said.
Rodriguez, of New London, was transported to Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Galante said.
"The incident does not appear to be a random act," Galante said.
