Long Island residents Kevin Moore, age 61, and Carol Moore, age 57, of Massapequa, are named in a four-count criminal complaint that was filed in US District Court in Washington, DC on Monday, May 13. According to investigators, the couple attended then-President Donald Trump’s speech at the Ellipse that morning before making their way to the Capitol building. Shooting At New Haven Train Station Platform: No Active Threat To Metro-North Riders, MTA Says A dispute between three men on a Metro-Nnorth train led to a shooting on the platform of a Connecticut train station that left one person in critical condition. The incident took place in New Haven County around 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 5 at the New Haven Union Station, said Tim Minton, communications director for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. A preliminary investigation reveals that the victim and two other individuals were on a train when a dispute began that continued on the platform between tracks 12 and 14, where there was gunfire targeting the victim, Minton said. …

Metro-North To Add Dozens Of Trains To Weekday Schedule Sixty-six trains will be added to Metro-North's weekday schedule later this month as the Metropolitan Transportation Authority works to restore regular service to pre-pandemic levels. The new trains will be added to the schedule on Sunday, March 27, according to an announcement from the Business Council of Westchester. Man Struck, Killed By Metro-North New Haven Line Train A man standing on the train tracks was fatally struck by a Metro-North train in Connecticut. According to Dave Steckel, with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the "unauthorized man" was on the tracks around 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 20, just west of Milford in New Haven County when he was struck and killed by the train. Steckel said the incident was not accidental and no criminality is suspected. First Woman Named Metro-North President Catherine Rinaldi has been named the first female president of Metro-North Railroad.  Rinaldi, has served as acting president of Metro-North since July 2017, and previously was Metro-North’s executive vice president, beginning in 2015.  On Wednesday, Feb. 21 she was officially named president.  She replaces Joe Giulietti who resigned last July after three years leading the railroad.
