Firefighter Pulls Unconcious Person From Burning Car At Cemetery In Area An off-duty fire department safety officer pulled an unconscious person from a burning car at a cemetery. The incident took place on Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Grove Cemetery in Naugatuck, said the Naugatuck Fire Department on Facebook. According to the department, firefighters responded to a reported car fire at Grove Cemetery. When they arrived on the scene, they found the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames after the fuel tank exploded and a small brush fire had erupted. New Canaan Police Officers Honored For Saving Person Who Was Not Breathing Two New Canaan officers are being recognized for recently saving a person who was having difficulty breathing and had lost consciousness. According to New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski, Sgt. Aaron LaTourette and Officer Matthew Blank arrived at the scene within two minutes of receiving the call.  Once on the scene, the two quickly determined that the patient was not breathing and had no pulse.  The officers deployed an automatic external defibrillator, which administered a shock.
