A 23-year-old man allegedly abused a dog and attempted to lie about its death to police investigators after it was found injured at a park in Fairfield County. On June 3, a mastiff was found roaming in Bruce Park in Greenwich, displaying signs and symptoms consistent with having been abused, police said. The investigation into the abused dog by Greenwich Animal Control found that the dog had been adopted from an adoption center in Connecticut in May by local resident Christian Dilworth. A 46-year-old motorist who made an unsafe turn - causing oncoming traffic to come to a halt on a busy Greenwich roadway - was driving under the influence for the second time, police said. Stamford resident Kevin O’Brien was spotted by police turning left out of Livingston Place onto West Putnam Avenue at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 9. A gas station clerk helped track down a 24-year-old suspect who allegedly committed an armed robbery and made off with cash. Connecticut State Police received a report of an active robbery at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at the Patco gas station in Litchfield. Police said that the clerk reported a suspect walked in, passed a note demanding money and displayed a knife. The chairman of the Village of Mamaroneck Board of Ethics has been busted with alleged child pornography. Mamaroneck Charles Mitchell, 51, has been arrested on charges related to child pornography, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr., announced on Friday afternoon, following a months-long investigation. Police engaged in a struggle with a 55-year-old man who became combative after allegedly attempting to enter a restricted area at a Starbucks in Westport before allegedly going after employees. A teenager who delivered the fatal blow that led to the death of Gabe Bardo last year during a drug deal pleaded guilty to manslaughter. A Fairfield County man is facing up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty Thursday to killing a 14-year-old boy during a downtown shoot-out, according to the State Attorney's Office.
