Teen Busted With Stolen Gun, High-Capacity Clip, Police Say
A 19-year-old Fairfield County teen who was already facing gun charges was busted again for allegedly having a stolen gun and for possession of pot.
Elvis Almengot-Castillo, of Stamford, was arrested on Monday, Feb. 24, after officers with the Stamford Police Narc Squad received a tip the teen was selling drugs and was in possession of a gun, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin.
After receiving a search warrant, members of the squad stopped Almegot-Castillo and conducted a search where they came up with $300 in cash, but no drugs or guns, Conklin said.

Estranged Husband In Missing Mom Case Clinging To Life After Suicide Attempt
Fotis Dulos, the estranged husband of missing Fairfield County mother of five Jennifer Farber Dulos, is clinging to life and being treated for carbon monoxide poisoning hours after an apparent suicide attempt, police say.
Dulos was found at his Farmington, Connecticut, mansion around noon, Tuesday, Jan. 28, after he failed to show up in court for an emergency bond hearing, said Farmington Police spokesman Lt. Tim McKenzie at a press conference.

Teen Suspect In Random Westport Stabbing Of Greenwich Woman Put On Suicide Watch
An 18-year-old teen accused of randomly stabbing a Greenwich woman while wearing a mask has been placed on a suicide watch.
Ellis Tibere, of Guilford, who appeared in Norwalk Superior Court on Tuesday, Jan. 7, was placed on suicide watch after his attorney expressed concern, following the Monday, Jan. 6, attack in Westport that left the 33-year-old woman in serious condition.

State Attorney Files For Gag Order In Missing Mom Case
The Stamford/Norwalk State Attorney is asking the court to enact a "gag order" on all parties involved with the case of the missing mom Jennifer Farber Dulos.
State Attorney Richard Colangelo Jr. filed the one-sentence motion on Wednesday, Aug. 7, saying statements could prejudice the case.
In response, her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos’ attorney, has filed a five-page response, arguing that prosecutors should focus their time on preventing police leaks to the media.
