One Injured In Violent Four-Vehicle Crash In Shelton A violent four-vehicle crash in Fairfield County injured one person. It happened around 9 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 14, on Route 8 in Shelton. When responders arrived on the scene they found the crash which spanned more than 1,000 feet, according to the Shelton Fire Department.  One vehicle was found in the woods with significant rear-end damage, one was on the side of the road, and another was located about 300 feet on its roof, the department said.
