7-Year-Old Killed In House Fire A 7-year-old child was killed after they were trapped inside a burning home in New London County Tuesday evening, Oct. 15, authorities said.  Firefighters were called to a home at 83 Summit Street in Norwich just before 5:30 p.m. to reports of a two-story house fire. The fire took place around 11:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, on. Royal Drive in Danbury, said Danbury Fire Department Spokesperson James Gagliardo.
