A 26-year-old Connecticut Department of Transportation worker was killed after being struck by a vehicle on the shoulder of a highway exit ramp. The crash happened in New Haven County on Friday, June 28 just after 9:15 a.m., when the DOT worker was struck while working alongside the shoulder of the Exit 13 on-ramp on Interstate 91 South in Wallingford, Connecticut State Police announced. Police are investigating after a 74-year-old Connecticut man was killed during a two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. Two people were killed after the disabled vehicle they were standing outside of along a busy Connecticut highway was hit by another car, police said. The New York charter bus company involved in a deadly highway crash that killed two educators and left dozens of high school band students hospitalized holds a “satisfactory” safety rating, though records show nearly two dozen maintenance violations in recent years. Man Who Fired Shots From Handgun On I-95 In Fairfield County Caught
A 27-year-old is behind bars after state police say he fired a gun from a car on I-95 in the middle of the afternoon on Sunday. State Police said they received multiple 911 reports of shots being fired near both Exit 32 in Stratford and Exit 28 in Bridgeport at around 3:30 p.m. Witnesses described a bearded man firing a handgun from a gray Ford Focus northbound on I-95, police said.
