Four accused mobsters, including two from Westchester, were convicted of murder, conspiracy to commit racketeering, and other felonies that could land them in prison for life.

Man Killed By Metro-North Train Wanted In Brutal Murder Of Girlfriend, Teen
A man who was struck and killed by a Metro-North train in Westchester had reportedly just violently murdered his girlfriend and her teen son.
Hector Cruz, 51, of the Bronx, who has been identified as the person who was killed after he jumped in front of the Metro-North train in Hartsdale Sunday morning, Feb. 17 was a "person of interest" in the weekend murders of his girlfriend, Marisol Ortiz, 51, and her 14-year-old son, Alanche Delorbe, according to New York City Police.

Starwoods Hotels & Resorts Executive Anna Lufrano Dies At 51
Hotel executive Anna Lufrano, a resident of Hartsdale and formerly of Yonkers, died on Wednesday, Nov. 7. She was 51 years old.
Born in the Bronx to Rafael and Modestina Rinaldi, who survive her, she was the wife of Joseph, mother of Regina and Adriana and the sister of Anthony Rinaldi. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Maria, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Before Anna’s sickness, she worked as an executive administrator at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima…

For those out there hating their job, "Forbes" Magzine has come out with their Top 100 employers to work for and the No. 2 best place to work happens to have several locations right in the area.
