Arrest Made In Deadly CT Motorcycle Crash That Left Two Boys Without Their Father
A Connecticut man has been arrested in connection with a deadly motorcycle crash that killed a 55-year-old rider last summer, police said. Tyler W. Griggs, 26, was charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle after an investigation into a June 1, 2024, crash on Hopeville Road in Griswold, according to Connecticut State Police. Authorities said Griggs was making a left turn from a driveway at 1089 Hopeville Road when he struck a motorcycle operated by Sean McGloin, who was traveling southbound. Boats Destroyed During Fire At Norwalk Marina
Two boats were destroyed at a Norwalk marina after firefighters arrived to find the two "fully involved," in flames. The fire took place in Norwalk around 6:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 26 at Rex Marina, located at 144 Water St., said Steve Shay, deputy chief of the Norwalk Fire Department. Shay said when firefighters arrived the two boats were fully engulfed in flames and began battling the blaze from the dock while the fire boat responded to the scene.
