Woman Falls 40 Feet From Stratford Bridge, Lands On Construction Barge
A woman who was working on a Fairfield County bridge was seriously injured when she fell through a hole and landed 40 feet below on a construction barge. The incident took place in Stratford around 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31 at the Devon Bridge, said Robert Daniel, assistant chief/fire marshal for the Stratford Fire Department. Stratford Fire Rescue, along with Marine 233, responded to the scene. Worker Critically Injured After Being Pinned Between Vehicles In Fairfield County
A Fairfield County construction worker was critically injured after being pinned between two vehicles in a freak accident. The incident took around 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 9, in the area of 401 Wildwood Road in Stamford. A Connecticut man from Fairfield County was killed in a construction accident in New York after being trapped 10 feet underground when a trench collapsed on top of him at a Westchester County worksite. The Stamford man was killed around 12:40 p.m., Tuesday, May 4, when the trench collapsed at a home on 648 Shore Acres Drive in the Village of Mamaroneck. Worker Killed In Fall At Norwalk's SoNo Collection
A construction worker fell to his death while working during the early morning hours on the SoNo Collection in Norwalk. The unidentified man fell around 2:39 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the new shopping area located at 100 North Water Street, said Lt. Terry Blake with the Norwalk Police Department. Blake said the man fell from an elevated height. Arriving officers rendered aid to the man, who was transported to the Norwalk Hospital by ambulance where the man later died, Blake said.
