Three men and two juveniles were arrested for allegedly having two guns after being stopped for following each other at a high rate of speed in Fairfield County. The incident took place in New Cannan around 3:10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 17 northbound on New Norwalk Road. According to Lt. Man Accused Of Stealing Blank Checks From Mailbox In Fairfield County, Then Depositing $24K
Police have accused a man for allegedly stealing a box of blank checks in Fairfield County and writing a check to himself for more than $24,000. The incident took place in Westport on Tuesday, Jan. 11, when police officers responded to a home on Northgate Lane regarding stolen mail. The complainant told officers that a box of blank checks was stolen. He advised that one of the stolen checks was written out for over $24,000.00 and cashed, said Lt. State officials issued an alert to Westchester County motorists about the temporary closure of a service area along the Hutchinson River Parkway.The New York State Department of Transportation said the Mamaroneck River Service Area, located along the Hutchinson River Parkway between Exit 13 (Mamaroneck Avenue) and Exit 14 (North Street) in White Plains, is set to close on Monday, Sept. 12, beginning at midnight. Surveillance footage led to the arrest of a man for allegedly helping steal more than $25,000 in goods from a Fairfield County Ulta Beauty store in seven incidents. A woman from the region was charged with larceny after allegedly stealing a $28,000 check out of a Fairfield County mailbox and altering the name and cashing it. Police were altered to the theft when a resident came to the Westport Police Department in January to report a larceny. Four suspects are facing charges in Westchester after being busted with drugs and stolen property in a vehicle allegedly stolen out of Fairfield County.
