Armed Carjacker Makes Off With Honda Civic In New Haven, Police Say A New Haven man was carjacked at gunpoint seconds after he pulled into his driveway. The incident took place in New Haven around 5:30 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 22 on Blathcley Avenue. The victim told officers he had pulled into his driveway when he was confronted by a masked man holding a gun. The man racked the slide and told him to get out, said Capt. Man Found Shot Dead On New Haven Roadway A 23-year-old man was found shot dead on a roadway after police in Connecticut responded to a Shotspotter alert. The incident took place in New Haven around 3:15 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 1, on Grand Avenue between Poplar Street and Blatchley Avenue. Officers responding to the area located Dontae Myers, of New Haven, who had been shot, said Officer Scott Shumway, of the New Haven Police.
