The incident took place in Stratford around 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 29 at the Esporta Fitness located at the 411 Barnum Avenue Cutoff. According to Capt. Frank Eannotti of the Stratford Police, officers responded to the gym for a disturbance call. During the incident, one of the people involved, Emmanuel Rivera, age 21, of Bridgeport pulled a firearm and threatened the other in the gym, Eannotti said. Man Killed, Woman Injured, During Shooting In Stratford, Police Say Police in Fairfield County are investigating a homicide of a man and the shooting of a woman. The shootings were uncovered around 1 a.m., Friday, Dec. 17, when the Stratford Police Department responded to Light Street near Barnum Avenue. The unidentified man and woman were shot by an unknown assailant, According to Capt Frank Eannotti of the Stratford Police Department. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are the public for help in identifying a man who might be involved with a home burglary that took place last week. The man was photographed on surveillance around 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, near Barnum and Broadbridge avenues in Stratford.  He was wearing white pants, glasses, a winter hat and was carrying what appears to be some type of backpack on his back.  Stratford Police said he appears to be a painter or taper.
