A person had to be extricated from a vehicle that was seriously damaged after crashing into several objects before landing just a few feet from a house in Danbury. IDs Released For Husband, Wife Killed In SUV Crash On LI Sound
Police have released the names of the husband and wife who died after their SUV crashed through a metal guardrail into the Long Island Sound in Westchester. New Rochelle residents Ralph and Arlene Simpson, both 74, drove through the guardrail and into the water at Hudson Park in Echo Bay shortly before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, police said. Motorist Rescued After Rollover Crash In Easton
A driver in Fairfield County was able to escape injury after the vehicle overturned in a crash on Route 136 in Easton. The crash occurred at approximately 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, officials said. The driver was extradited from the rolled-over vehicle and he was treated for minor injuries by Easton paramedics as a precaution. Woman, Children Hospitaiized After Rollover Crash In Shelton
One person had to be extricated and three were hospitalized following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Shelton. The crash occurred around 3 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Route 108 (Shelton Avenue) and Pine Street, said Shelton Police Det. Richard Bango. A mother and her two children were taken to a local hospital after the crash which caused the vehicle rollover. Officials with the Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Company said one person had to be extricated from the vehicle. The extent of injuries was not known.

Man Killed After Crash Seriously Damages Webster Bank Arena
A driver has died after crashing into the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport on Thanksgiving Day, police say. The victim, a man in his mid-20s whose identity has not officially been released, was driving south on Main Street at approximately 2:10 p.m. before losing control of his vehicle, a Honda Accord, and collided into the front of the building. The man was pulled from the vehicle and taken to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Monroe Man Falls From Train Platform
A 22-year-old man is being treated at an area hospital after falling from the Darien Train Station platform. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. Monday when officers responded to the area of Post Road and the exit drive of the Darien Train Station, for the report of an unresponsive male, said Darien Police. A 63-year-old man was killed when the bed of the dump truck he was driving hit an overpass sign on I-95, ejecting him from the vehicle. Connecticut Woman Killed After Being Pinned Between Tree, Rolling Car
A 59-year-old woman died after being pinned between a car and a tree after not putting on the emergency brake, state police said. Connecticut State Police found Florence Caillard of Willimantic, dead around 12:30 p.m. Thursday when they responded to East Street in Andover for the report of a woman unconscious. Here's How Many Tickets CT State Police Dished Out Over Labor Day Weekend
The sheer numbers tell the story.Connecticut State Police troopers didn't get much rest and relaxation over the Labor Day weekend. Troopers dished out a total of nearly 4,000 tickets for everything from speeding to aggressive driving during the crackdown, which ran from Aug. 31 to Sept. 3. Here's a breakdown: 1,314 speeding tickets 2,474 total tickets for other hazardous moving violations (including unsafe lane change, following too closely, cell phone, texting, etc.). Troopers also arrested 24 people for DUI and investigated 281 accidents with no fatalities.

A woman landed in the hospital after her husband left the car in neutral and it began to roll downhill and she was run over by the vehicle in Fairfield County. A Stamford man was charged with causing an accident that sent five people to the hospital, according to the Stamford Police. The crash occurred around 7 p.m. Sunday when Kadeem Sadio, 28, was speeding southbound on Hope Street when he slammed into a vehicle pulling out of Donut Delight, said Sgt. Kenneth Jarrett.
