Fairfield Resident Wins $100K In Scratch-Off Ticket A Fairfield resident's purse is a little heavier after winning $100,000 in a lottery scratch-off game. Alexandru Giulan won the lucky bucks on a $5,000,000 Ultimate scratch-off ticket, according to the Connecticut Lottery. The tickets cost a whopping $30, but hey, she more than made up for the cost. Giulan claimed the $100,000 prize at lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill on Tuesday, Oct. 15, officials said.
