Brewster Battles Back, Stuns Defending Sectional Champ Lourdes In Opener BREWSTER, N.Y. - The defending Section 1 Class A champion Our Lady of Lourdes High football team got a road awakening Friday night for the first game of the 2016 season, falling to host Brewster 20-7 under the lights at Bears Field. The Warriors struck first, going up 7-0 on a 27-yard TD pass from QB Nick Gastin to Corey Mulalley. But Brewster responded with 20 unanswered points - including a 53-yard TD run and another 35--yard touchdown, on a pick six in the fourth quarter from Bears QB/FS Jack Guida. I-84 Crash Causes Heavy Delays In Dutchess This story has been updated. There were heavy delays on I-84 on Friday afternoon following a crash at the interchange of the Taconic State Parkway. The crash, which occurred just before 5 p.m., was on the eastbound side, but heavy delays also occurred westbound. State Finalist Lourdes Football Team Itching For Another Run At Title POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Veteran head coach Brian Walsh has had his Our Lady of Lourdes High football team on a serious roll over the last five years, with the Warriors reaching the Section 1 Class A championship game five times, winning three sectional titles in the span. Lourdes advanced to the Class A state championship game last fall, before a devastating, 49-46, loss to South Park of Buffalo, ending a 10-3 fall.
