The fire took place around 11:08 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 6 Sage Road, in the Lake Waubeeka area of Danbury, said James Gagliardo, communications director for the Danbury Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the home fighting through 18 inches of snow with it still coming down and found heavy flames coming from rear windows, said Gagliardo.

The fire was put out within 40 minutes.

The Danbury Fire Marshal’s Office was requested to the scene and is investigating which is undetermined at this time.
