Ansonia Man, 65, Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash In Shelton

SHELTON, Conn. — A 65-year-old Ansonia man was killed and his passenger was seriously injured in a two-car crash at a three-way intersection in Shelton on Tuesday evening, according to the Shelton Herald. 

The deadly crash happened at Leavenworth Road/Route 110, Birdseye Road and School Street in northern Shelton.

Shelton police are investigating the deadly 7:45 p.m. crash, which occurred at Leavenworth Road/Route 110, Birdseye Road and School Street, the Herald said.

Michael Bonavita, who was driving a 2004 Jeep Liberty, was killed and his 60-year-old male passenger was seriously hurt, police told the Herald. A 28-year-old New Milford man driving a 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck sustained minor injuries but refused care, the Herald said. 

Witnesses or anyone with information on the crash is asked to call the Shelton Police Traffic Division at 203-924-1544.
