Francis Cermatori, 90, Maywood Resident
MAYWOOD, N.J. -- Francis Cermatori, of Maywood, died on Friday, Feb. 10. He was 90.
An Army veteran of World War II, Cermatori worked for Maywood's Department of Public Works as a parks attendant before he retired. He was also a journeyman, darkroom technician and supervisor for ALCO Gravure in Hoboken for over 40 years.
He was a member of the Rochelle Park American Legion Post 170 and a past member of the Paramus Elks, the Maywood VFW and Maywood American Legion Post 142.

ROCHELLE PARK, N.J. -- Mary E. (Muller) Vitkuske -- a Rochelle Park resident, formerly of Union City -- died on Saturday, Feb. 11. She was 85.
Before retiring, Vitkuske was an insurance agent for NIA Insurance. She was a member of the Rochelle Park Seniors Club and a board member and member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Society.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Brian Anthony Sori -- an East Rutherford resident, formerly of Saddle Brook -- died on Wednesday, Feb. 8. He was 27.

Gary J. Nardozza, 55, Maywood Resident
MAYWOOD, N.J. -- Gary J. Nardozza, of Maywood, died on Wednesday, Feb. 15. He was 55.
Nardozza was a freelance graphic designer. He had previously worked for Paulist Press, in Ramsey. He was a member of the Laurel and Hardy Film Club and an avid artist who enjoyed sculpting, painting and wood carving. He also enjoyed his Lionel trains.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, in Maywood.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Dorothy Anne "Dottie" (Villata) Dermody, of East Rutherford, died on Wednesday, Feb. 15. She was 89.
Dermody was born in the Bronx to the late Vincent and Elizabeth Villata.

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- Richard Louis Curti Sr., of Elmwood Park, died on Saturday, Feb. 11. He was 78.
Born in Passaic, Curti lived in Garfield and Saddle Brook, before settling in Elmwood Park 18 years ago. He was a machinist for Curtiss-Wright in Fairfield and Bendix Corporation in Teterboro before retiring.
He was an avid Al Jolson fan and impersonator who had appeared on the Steve Ames show and performed in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut nursing homes, entertaining the residents.

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Giacinto "Gino" J. Sasso, of Rutherford, died on Sunday, Feb. 12. He was 73.
Born in Hoboken, Sasso earned bachelor's and master's degrees in chemistry from Rutgers. He was a nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopist for 39 years. He retired from Hoffmann-La Roche, in Nutley, in 2012.

OAKLAND, N.J. -- Barbara Ann Yates, of Oakland, died on Tuesday, Feb. 14. She was 81.
Born in Easton, Pennsylvania, Yates earned a degree in art education from Kutztown University. She was an accomplished art teacher in the Easton and Phillipsburg public schools, information from the funeral home noted. She also taught at the Easton Head Start Program.

Born in Ritzville, Washington, Reitsma was raised in Hackensack and lived there until she moved to Fair Lawn, over 35 years ago.
