Ridgefield Detective Joseph Castellitto led the operation after spotting the ads, Capt. Richard Besser told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

“In the female escort section it said ‘Ridgefield,’ point-blank,” he said.

A woman answered when Castellito and an investigator from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office contacted the number listed, Besser said.

She said her place of business was the Days Inn motel on westbound Route 46, he said.

Surveillance video shows her giving her driver a kiss as she arrived at the scheduled appointment.

“It doesn’t appear to be a human-trafficking situation,” Besser said. “She arrived under her own volition.”

Soon after, the investigators arrested 44-year-old Santa C. Rivera of Evelyn Place in the Bronx, who allegedly was charging $160 for the service.

She was released on a summons to appear in Municipal Court on prostitution charges.
