The performance will be screened at 2 p.m. Thursday at The Ridgefield Playhouse.
In his small pub in the northern English town of Oldham, Harry (David Morrissey – The Walking Dead, State of Play) is something of a local celebrity. But what's the second-best hangman in England to do on the day they've abolished hanging? Among the cub reporters and pub regulars dying to hear Harry’s reaction to the news, his old assistant Syd (Andy Nyman – Peaky Blinders, Death at a Funeral) and the peculiar Mooney (Johnny Flynn – Clouds of Sils Maria) lurk with very different motives for the visit.
The Ridgefield Playhouse also will screen a live performance of The Met Opera Puccini’s Manon Lescaut at 12:55 p.m. Saturday and the Bolshoi Ballet’s encore presentation of Spartacus at noon Sunday, March 13.
For tickets ($25, $20 members/seniors, $15 students, free for children 18 and younger) call or visit the box office, 203-438-5795 or go online.
The Ridgefield Playhouse is at 80 East Ridge Road.
