During this time, snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected across Southern Connecticut, the weather service said. It will be the second accumulating snowfall in four days.
Snow is expected to develop toward daybreak on Tuesday and become locally heavy toward the end of the morning rush hour before tapering to snow showers by the afternoon rush hour.
Hazardous driving conditions, especially on untreated roads, are expected. Visibility may be reduced to a half-mile or less during the morning commute. The main impact will be between the commutes, the weather service said.
The forecast for Wednesday calls for sunny skies and a high temperature of about 35 degrees.
