Sunny days will be the norm through Thursday with temperatures ranging in the mid to low-40s. Winds between 10 and 15 miles an hour are likely on Wednesday. And there is a 50 percent chance of rain on Friday. Nighttime temperatures during the week will be between the low-20s and upper-30s.
The weekend will be cloudy, but with highs in the mid-50s and a 30 percent chance of rain on Sunday afternoon. Nights will see lows in the upper-30s. The warm weather might break the week of Jan. 14, a report from Accuweather.com says, when a more seasonable cold front comes through.
A cold air front will likely come through the area as a “phenomenon known as sudden stratospheric warming” that pushes old air south from the arctic region, the report says.
