Snow, Rain May Make Norwalk Messy

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. - Just when you thought it was safe to put your winter clothes away, a storm Wednesday could bring a couple of inches of snow and rain to the coast of Fairfield County.

The snow should start falling Wednesday morning but could change to a wintry mix of rain and sleet later in the afternoon, says the National Weather Service.

The mix of rain and snow will continue through the night before turning to all rain after 7 a.m., Thursday morning, the Weather Service says.

The storm will not bring bitter cold with it, as temperatures are expected to remain in the mid-30s during the day Wednesday and drop to around freezing at night before jumping into the 40s on Thursday, the Weather Service says.

A winter storm watch is in effect for central and northern Fairfield County.
