Rain Will Overtake Norwalk By Friday Evening

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The sunny start to Friday will begin to fade with rain in the forecast for Fairfield County that will wash out the start to the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

It will be mostly cloudy Friday, with a chance of rain mainly after 4 p.m. High temperatures will be in the low 40s, but will feel like the mid-20s with wind chills.

It will be rainy and chilly by Friday evening, with low temperatures in the mid-30s. A quarter of an inch to a half-inch of rain is possible. 

Saturday will be a bust weather-wise, with rain in the forecast again and a high in the upper 40s to low 50s. New precipitation of a quarter of an inch to a half-inch of rain could fall.

Rain will continue into the evening, with a chance for the precipitation to turn to light snow, especially north of the Merritt Parkway and in the northern part of Fairfield County. Less than a half-inch of snow is predicted to fall. 

The weekend weather improves for Sunday, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 40.
