Rain Keeps Soaking Norwalk

FAIRFIELD COUNTY — Heavy rains will keep Fairfield County pretty soggy again Monday.

The forecast is a repeat of Sunday's, when it rained all day long — sometimes heavily — from Greenwich to Fairfield to Danbury. The National Weather Service says residents should prepare for more downpours through Monday night.

A flash flood watch is in effect through Monday evening. Urban areas and small creeks and streams are most likely to flood, the Weather Service says. Monday night the low could drop into the mid-60s.

There is a 40 percent chance of rain Tuesday. But Wednesday and Thursday should be sunny before more storms move in, the Weather Service says.

Connecticut Light & Power reported only a few power outages in the region during Sunday's storms.
