FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County continues to experience "abnormally dry" conditions despite recent snow and rainfall, but it has not officially entered into a drought as of yet, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.

Connecticut has received 79 percent of the usual precipitation for this time of year. The Drought Monitor estimates the area is 3 to 7 inches behind in snowfall for the season.
Conditions are forecast to remain dry throughout the week and weekend.
