After Rain, Warmer Weather On The Way For Norwalk

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – The week begins with rain, but the weather for Fairfield County is looking up for the rest of the week.

Starting early Monday, a new storm, mainly rain but possibly with some sleet, will last through mid-afternoon Monday, Accuweather meteorologist Dan Pydynowski said.

The rain will get more spotty over the afternoon with temperatures in the mid to low 40s. The temperatures will remain relatively high, in the low 40s, through most of the week, Pydynowski said.

“It’s going to turn a little milder here over the next couple of days,” he said. Sunshine and warmer weather will be the norm for Tuesday through the rest of the week.

The rain and warm weather will cause some melting of the nearly 2 feet of snow received in the recent storm. However, Pydynowski said night-time temperatures will be at or below freezing, which will freeze the snowmelt.

A cold front, possibly starting Friday afternoon, will bring the temperatures down into the 20s over next weekend and into next week.
