Thousands From New York, Connecticut Flocking To Massachusetts For Legal Marijuana As some New York and Connecticut lawmakers continue to push for the legalization of recreational marijuana, a new report has found that area residents are taking the trek north to purchase legal weed. A recently released report stated that with legalization becoming more widespread, many from the area have been driving to nearby states - namely Massachusetts, which legalized it late last year - to purchase government-approved marijuana products and illegally taking them back over state lines.
