AHL Sound Tigers Team Rebranding As Bridgeport Islanders The New York Islanders’ top development affiliate is getting a new name. Formerly known as the Sound Tigers, the team announced that its squad in the American Hockey League will be rebranded as the Bridgeport Islanders.

ID Released For Stamford Man Killed When Car Crashes Into Webster Bank Arena The man who was killed after his car crashed into the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport on Thanksgiving Day has been identified as a Stamford man. The man was driving south on Main Street at approximately 2:10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22 before losing control of his vehicle, a Honda Accord, and colliding into the front of the building.
