New London County resident Reginald Collins, age 59, of New London, turned himself in to Connecticut State Police on Wednesday, April 24, for the Friday, April 21, 2023, crash on I-95 in Groton. Woman Who Crashes Into Group Of People In Bridgeport Charged With DUI, Police Say A Fairfield County woman has been charged with multiple crimes including DUI after allegedly plowing into a group of people, including five children. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 7:50 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 27 in the 1700 block of Central Avenue. Bridgeport Police responded to the scene after receiving several 911 calls reporting a vehicle crash with pedestrians struck, said Scott Appleby, director of Bridgeport Emergency Management. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 10 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31. According to Capt. Teen Busted After Attempting To Fill Fake Prescription Numerous Times, Police Say A teen was busted on numerous charges after he allegedly attempted to fill a fraudulent prescription at a Fairfield County pharmacy. Dwayne Smith, 19, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 28, after a pharmacist in the central Greenwich area contacted the Greenwich Police and reported suspicious activity, said Captain Mark E. Members of the Milford Police Department were dispatched to Bayview Beach at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, where there was a report of a vehicle that had gotten stuck in the sand. Unregistered Driver Caught With Weapon In Vehicle, Westport PD Says A Fairfield County man is facing a weapons charge after being stopped by officers while driving without insurance and a proper registration for his vehicle in Westport. An officer from the Westport Police Department on patrol at approximately 4:45 p.m. on June 20 stopped Bridgeport resident Luis Polanco-Guzman, when he committed a vehicle and traffic law violation while traveling eastbound on Allen Raymond Lane.
