Concerned Citizen Scares Away Men In Van Who Approached Girl In Fairfield County, Police Say
Police in Fairfield County are searching for two men in a white van who allegedly attempted to get a 12-year-old girl to get into their van. The incident took place in Old Greenwich on Monday, Aug. 22, around 3 p.m. in the area of Sound Beach Avenue and Center Drive. Officers were sent on the report of a suspicious incident involving a white van. Woman Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle Crossing Busy Greenwich Intersection
A pedestrian suffered serious injuries when she was struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in Old Greenwich. It happened at about 9:50 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, according to Lt. John Slusarz of the Greenwich Police Department. A vehicle that had been traveling southbound on Sound Beach Avenue made a left turn into the driveway for the Arcadia Parking Lot when it struck a pedestrian, Slusarz said. The pedestrian was treated at the scene by first responders and taken to the hospital. An investigation is being conducted by the Greenwich Police Department’s Traffic Section. …

10-Year-Old Riding Bike Struck By Vehicle Near School In Greenwich
A 10-year-old child riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle near the Old Greenwich School. The incident took place around 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, Tuesday, on Sound Beach Avenue in Old Greenwich, said Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz. The child, a Greenwich resident, suffered minor non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Stamford Hospital for evaluation, police said. The operator of the vehicle was not charged, Slusarz said. Officials remind motorists to use care in the area around the school which is busy with drop-off, bicyclists and people walking.
