CT Conman Steals $200K In Gold Coins From Estate, Feds Say
A Connecticut man is facing federal charges for allegedly swindling a Western Massachusetts estate out of hundreds of thousands of dollars in gold coins. William Dawson, age 51, was indicted on fraud charges by a federal grand jury in Worcester on Wednesday, Oct. 18. According to prosecutors, Dawson met with an employee of a home cleanout business in January 2023 after the company was hired by an estate in Shrewsbury. A 49-year-old woman and her 12-year-old daughter who were found dead inside their Massachusetts home have been identified by the District Attorney's Office. Jihyun Lee and her daughter were discovered around 7:30 a.m., Friday, March 19 inside their Shrewsbury home, said Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. Lee was rushed to UMass Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. A 12-year-old and her 49-year-old mother were found dead inside a home in Worcester County. The incident occurred on Ladyslipper Drive in Shrewsbury around 7:30 a.m. Friday, March 19. Man Sentenced In Fairfield County For Multi-State Robbery Spree
A 33-year-old Waterbury man was sentenced to eight years in federal prison in connection with a multi-state armed robbery spree. A drug overdose in a Waterbury motel eventually led to the man's arrest. Zachary Provost was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Stefan R.
