Duo Nabbed For Norwalk Home Invasions, Burglaries At Same Residence, Police Say
Two Fairfield County men have been charged with several cases of alleged burglary, robbery, and home invasion.
Norwalk residents Aneudy Martinez, age 22, and Joseph de Jesus Tiburcio Nunez, age 18, were arrested on Wednesday, July 12 for the incident that began in May, said Sgt. Sofia Gulino, of the Norwalk Police.
According to Gulino, on Monday, May 22, a home on Lexington Avenue was burglarized, cash was taken, and a television and other items were damaged.
A report was filed with the Norwalk Police Department on the following day.

Norwalk Man Charged With Attacking Youth Football Coach With Helmet
A Fairfield County man has been charged with allegedly attacking a youth football coach with a helmet.
The incident took place in Norwalk at 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 2 at the Brien McMahon High School field during a game.
According to Sgt. Sofia Gulino, of the Norwalk Police, the assault took place on the field during the game.

Police in Connecticut are pleading with the public to come forward with information regarding the cold case double murder of two people that reaches its 11th anniversary next month.
On Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, 22-year-old Rickita Smalls and 27-year-old Iroquois Alston, both of Norwalk, were shot and killed while sitting in a parked car on Avenue B, said the Norwalk Police.

Four Norwalk School Put In Lockdown After Shots Fired In Area, Police Say
Four Fairfield County schools were briefly placed on lockdown after shots were fired in the area.
The incident took place around in Norwalk around 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 24.
Norwalk Police responded to the area of Bouton Street after receiving a 911 call of shots being fired, said Sgt. Sofia Gulino, of the Norwalk Police Department.

A former police officer has been arrested for alleged computer crimes and forgery for faking traffic stops in Fairfield County.
Edgar Gonzalez, age 31, of Stamford, turned himself in to Norwalk Police on Tuesday, Feb. 8 on a warrant obtained by Norwalk detectives.

Norwalk Brothers Busted For Drugs Following Investigation, Police Say
Following a six-month-long investigation, two Fairfield County brothers have been arrested with an alleged large amount of cocaine and cash at their homes.
On Thursday, July 15, Norwalk Police Department Special Services Division arrested brothers Giovanny Padilla and John Padilla, both of Norwalk, were arrested following a search of their home, said Sgt. Sofia Gulino.

Norwalk Officers Arrested After Being Caught In Hotel Room While On Duty, Police Say
Two Norwalk police officers have been arrested for an incident last year in which they were caught in a hotel room while on duty.
Officers Michael Dimeglio, an 8-year member of the department, and Sara Laudano, a 5-year employee, surrendered themselves at Norwalk Police Headquarters on Tuesday, Jan. 5, and were served with arrest warrants stemming from an incident that occurred on Saturday, Oct. 10, said Sgt. Sofia Gulino.
