Harbor Point Man, 23, Shoots Himself While Cleaning Gun, Police Say A 23-year-old Harbor Point man accidentally shot himself in the hand while cleaning his semi-automatic handgun, according to Stamford Police. Stamford Police Sgt. Brian Butler said officers responded to a call at Harbor Point at 8:30 p.m. Friday on a call that the man had shot himself. When officers arrived on scene the man came out of his residence, with a towel wrapped around his hand, clearly bleeding and asking for an ambulance, Butler said.  While waiting for EMS to arrive, an officer helped put a tourniquet on the man’s left arm to help slow the bleeding. The man was transported to S…
