Connecticut State Police have joined in the search for a missing Massachusetts boy who has not been seen in almost two months. On Friday, April 2, the Massachusetts State Police said the Connecticut State Police, along with Chicopee Police Department Dive Unit are searching for Aiden Blanchard, 11, who was last seen Friday, Feb. 5 around 11:30 a.m. when he was walking in the Willamansett area of Chicopee, Mass. The bodies of two men who were swimming in the Housatonic River in Litchfield County were recovered by investigators, police said. Two men from the Bronx in their 20s were sought for days after being seen going underwater while swimming in the river near the Bulls Bridge Power Plant. Search For Missing CT Man Causes Closures Of NY Lake
Lake Carmel is closed to swimmers and boaters as emergency responders search for a missing man. The Lake Carmel Fire Department said it was dispatched on a report of a missing swimmer at around 7:35 p.m. Saturday, July 20. The man has been identified as a Connecticut resident in his 50s. The department was assisted in the search by the Carmel Fire Department, Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department dive team and Putnam County Sheriff's Department, Kent Police. Two children who found themselves lost in the Old Quarry Nature Center in Bethel have been located and reunited with their families. Numerous crews are working to find a person who jumped off the Sikorsky Bridge, according to Connecticut State Police. State Police Sgt. Dwight Washington said the Coast Guard was on the scene as well as the Stratford Fire Department.
