Infiniti Driver Nabbed For Drugs After Passing On Right On Route 7, Wilton Police Said
A Stamford man was arrested on alleged drug charges after officers watched him passing vehicles on the right-hand side of Route 7 (Danbury Road) in Wilton, Wilton Police said. Adhemar Leonardo, 20, was arrested on Monday, March 18, after he was seen driving a black 2009 Infiniti G37 southbound on Danbury Road and accelerated, moved into the right-hand lane and then passed another vehicle as the southbound lanes merged into one, said the Wilton Police Department. Stop Of SUV Driving Erratically On Route 7 Leads To Illegal Weapons Charge For Norwalk Man
A man from Norwalk is facing illegal weapons charges after police observed him driving erratically and conducted a traffic stop on Route 7. Craig Fordon, 47, was driving his SUV northbound on Danbury Road around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 17 when Wilton Police stopped him in the Honey Hill Road area. During the stop, police discovered that Fordon had a loaded 4.5mm BB gun that resembled a 9mm Walther pistol. Erratic Driving Stop On Route 7 Leads To DUI Charge
A 24-year-old local man driving erratically on Route 7 was arrested for driving under the influence. John Stalin Herrera-Mendieta of Danbury was arrested Saturday, Nov. 10 around 7:45 p.m. after Wilton Police spotted him driving his 2011 Ford Fusion erratically northbound on Route 7, said Wilton Police Sgt. Anna Tomello. During the stop, officers found the Herrera-Mendieta was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, police said. Woman Who Crossed Double-Yellow Line On Route 7 Under Influence, Wilton Police Say
A local woman was arrested for DUI after officers saw her driving over the double yellow and fog lines on Route 7. Denita Sherman, 42, of Danbury, was arrested around 10 p.m. Oct. 30 after Wilton police observed her driving her 2012 Toyota Camry northbound on Route 7 in an erratic manner, said Lt. Robert Kluk. A Fairfield County woman was hospitalized after her vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle on Route 7. Wilton Police responded to the crash on Danbury Road (Route 7) near the intersection of School Road on Thursday, Oct. 18, said Wilton Police Lt. Robert Kluk. According to Kluk, Teresa Dilorenzo-Waldron of Wilton was driving a BMW X5 traveling southbound on Danbury Road when her vehicle was rear-ended by a Honda CRV, driven by Patricia Ricci, also of Wilton. Motorist With No Insurance Faces DUI Charge In Wilton
A 46-year-old Northern Westchester man nabbed in Fairfield County for allegedly driving without insurance was also charged with driving drunk. Christopher Evers, of North Salem, was stopped around 1:20 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, on Route 7 in the area of Blue Ridge Road for failing to display registration, said the Wilton Police Department. During the stop, Evers was found to be driving a Toyota minivan with an expired NY temporary plate and no insurance. A Northern Westchester teen motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash when he attempted to drive between two other vehicles on Route 7 in South Norwalk, according to the Connecticut State Police. Numerous Crashes Reported On Slick Area Roadways
Motorists in Fairfield County are already feeling the effects of the Nor'easter as downed trees have forced the closure of several major roadways. The Wilton Police Department announced that a tree is also down by Route 7, near Ridgefield Road. Officers and State Police are currently on scene. A crash also temporarily tied up traffic on I-95.
