Driver Caught, Charged After Hit-Run Crash In New Canaan A driver has been charged after a hit-and-run crash in New Canaan, police say. New Canaan Police received a complaint of a two-car motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Main Street and East Avenue on Friday, Dec. 21 around 1 p.m. The police report stated that one of the vehicle’s operators, later identified as 53-year-old Robert James Terry of Hamden, allegedly failed to stop after the crash.
