ID Released For Local Man Struck, Killed By Ny-bound Train In Fairfield County A man who was killed after being struck by a train in Fairfield County has been identified. Scott James Harrington, age 59, of Riverside, a hamlet of Greenwich, was struck near the Cos Cob station by a New York-bound train around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, confirmed MTA officials. Harrington was reportedly an employee at J.P. Morgan.  The train engineer was briefly hospitalized following the incident, officials said. The incident is under investigation by the MTA.

Three Cars Stolen In Greenwich, Multiple Vehicles Burglarized Police continue to urge residents to lock their vehicles after three were stolen, and seven entered over the weekend in Greenwich. The thefts and burglaries took place across the town, said Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz. The vehicles stolen include a Ford Expedition from the Riverside section of town, Slusarz said. It was later recovered on Willow Road and a Lincoln on East Putnam Avenue while the owner was shopping, he added.  The third vehicle stolen was a Jeep Cherokee on Sheephill Road.
