Norwalk Woman Accused Of Shoplifting At Stop & Shop In Wilton
A Fairfield County woman was arrested after attempting to steal groceries from an area Stop & Shop location, police said. Officers from the Wilton Police Department responded to Stop & Shop on River Road on Thursday, Feb. 20, where there was a complaint of an alleged shoplifter. According to police, Norwalk resident Laurie Lafaro, 40, shopped at the store and attempted to leave without paying for $141.22 worth of groceries before she was stopped by staff members at the grocery store. A 64-year-old Wilton woman is facing numerous charges after police say she was involved in a crash while under the influence before being arrested for a second DUI later the same day. An area man was arrested for alleged DUI after a 911 caller reported an erratic driver in WIlton. Woman Arrested For Stealing $130 Worth Of Razors At Stop & Shop In Wilton
A 32-year-old woman was nabbed by police allegedly ripping off disposable razors from an area Stop & Shop. Olivia Romero, of Ridgefield, was arrested after turning herself into Wilton Police on a warrant on Monday, April 1, for the alleged incident that took place on Feb. 2, said Lt. Robert Kluk. According to the arrest report, Romero was seen on video surveillance stealing $130 worth of razors at the store on River Road in Wilton, police said. Another woman has been nabbed in association with a brazen jewelry store robbery in Wilton last year, according to the Wilton Police Department. During the October heist, three women and a man entered the Campus Jewelers at 5 River Road and distracted the two salespersons while the man stole jewelry from behind the counter and put it in a brown paper shopping bag that he was carrying, said Wilton Police Lt.
