16-Year-Old From Southport Killed In Block Island DUI Crash
A Fairfield County teenager died after an allegedly drunk underage driver crashed on Block Island, police said. Rhode Island State Police said that 16-year-old Southport resident Jackson (Jake) Panus was killed on West Side Road in New Shoreham after his allegedly drunk female driver crashed at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9. CT Man Charged With DUI With Child In Car
A 35-year-old Connecticut man was busted in Rhode Island for allegedly driving drunk with a 4-year--old in the car. Matthew Chouinard, of Pomfret, was arrested at approximately 8:20 p.m. Sunday, on I-95 North in Richmond after troopers spotted a vehicle being operated erratically, with no headlights or taillights on well after sunset.
