A 24-year-old man from Connecticut has been charged with DWI after he was pulled over on Danbury Road in the town of Southeast, according to the Putnam Sheriff. Officers with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department say they initiated a traffic stop after observing a driver commit a violation on Danbury Road in the town of Southeast on Monday, Sept. 16 around 12:25 a.m. Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as David Krukowski, 24, of New Preston, Connecticut, was allegedly intoxicated, according to the Sheriff. Norwalk Man Wanted On Drunk-Driving Charge In Putnam County Arrested For Felony DWI
A Fairfield County man already convicted of driving drunk in Northern Westchester is now facing a felony DWI charge after driving under the influence in the Town of Southeast, according to the Putnam Sheriff. Man Living In Fairfield County Charged With Selling Crack Cocaine, Heroin
A lengthy investigation into the sale of crack cocaine in Putnam County led to the arrest of a man in Florida who was busted attempting to sell firearms in Orlando, the Sheriff’s Department announced. In November last year, the Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit received a tip that Rafael Veras-Molina, 28, of Orlando, who temporarily lived in Danbury, was selling crack-cocaine and heroin in Putnam. Search For Missing CT Man Causes Closures Of NY Lake
Lake Carmel is closed to swimmers and boaters as emergency responders search for a missing man. The Lake Carmel Fire Department said it was dispatched on a report of a missing swimmer at around 7:35 p.m. Saturday, July 20. The man has been identified as a Connecticut resident in his 50s. The department was assisted in the search by the Carmel Fire Department, Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department dive team and Putnam County Sheriff's Department, Kent Police. Woman Wanted In Danbury Apprehended In Putnam County
A woman from Hopewell Junction has been arrested in Putnam County after she allegedly had an outstanding warrant out of Fairfield County, police say. A Putnam County Sheriff Deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on State Route 312 in the Town of Southeast on Friday, March 1 around 7:30 p.m. The deputy pulled the vehicle over and determined through a computer check that the driver, 31-year-old Courtney Campbell, had an active arrest warrant out of Danbury. Sheriff: Fairfield County Woman Driving Without Lights On Faces DWI Charge
A Fairfield County woman was busted by Putnam County Sheriff's deputies for DWI after they spotted her driving without lights. Mary K. Villaverde, 63, of Brookfield was arrested around 2:20 a.m., Saturday, March 24, when Deputy Sheriff Joseph Sadowski observed a car on Main Street in the Village of Brewster without any lights on and crossing into the oncoming lane of traffic, the department said.
