Police Search For Suspect After Derby Woman Found Murdered Following Initial Hit-Run Report An apparent fatal hit-and-run in Connecticut is now being investigated as a homicide, police said. Officers from the Derby Police Department alerted police in Ansonia of a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian who was struck at approximately 4:50 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30 near the intersection of Coe Lane and North Coe Lane. Police said that when officers arrived on scene, they found a 20-year-old woman suffering from upper body injuries that were not consistent with a motor vehicle accident but rather an assault.
