Dui-related Crash Seriously Injures 2 On I-84, CT Man Charged A Connecticut man was charged with DUI following a two-vehicle crash on I-84 that seriously injured two. The crash took place in Hartford County around 11 p.m. on I-84 in the town of Southington on Saturday, Aug. 26. According to the Connecticut State Police, Jakub Cwieka, age 30, of Newington, was driving a 2017 Lexus IS300 east beside a 2018 Alfa Romeo when both vehicles lost control and collided with each other and hit a metal beam guardrail. The incident took place in Hartford County around 10:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 12 in Plainville. One Killed In Wrong-Way I-84 Crash A man died after he drove his car the wrong way and slammed into an oncoming car on a busy Connecticut roadway, state police said. It happened on a stretch of I-84 in Hartford County at around  2 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, in Plainville. Hartford County resident Walter Turner, age 43, of Berlin, died after his 2006 Ford Focus hit a 2021 Toyota Rav4 LE driven by New Haven County resident Vanessa Gonzalez, age 27, of Waterbury, which was traveling westbound head-on, according to Connecticut State Police.
