Woman Nabbed With Counterfeit $100 Bills, Greenwich Police Say A 36-year-old woman was nabbed by Greenwich Police for allegedly attempting to purchase items using counterfeit money. Melleisa Alvaranga, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 16, after police responded to a business on Greenwich Avenue for a report of a woman attempting to pass counterfeit money, said the Greenwich Police. When officers arrived on the scene they found Alvaranga who was allegedly in possession of five $100 counterfeit bills, police said.
