Police Captain In Fairfield County Promoted To Assistant Chief
A popular Fairfield County police captain has been promoted to assistant chief of an area police department. Capt. Richard Conklin will become the next Assistant Chief of Police for the Stamford Police Department, according to Chief Timothy Shaw. "We are thrilled to have Rich join the leadership team and replace Assistant Chief Lou DeRubeis who is being appointed to the position of Public Safety Director," Shaw said. Stamford Police Promote Pair
Two longtime Stamford police officers were promoted by Chief Jon Fontneau during a ceremony on Wednesday, according to the Stamford Police Department. Lt. Diedrich Hohn, who has been a police officer for 22 years, was promoted to captain and will take over patrol units in the downtown area of town, said Capt. Richard Conklin. Hohn, who ran the Youth Bureau and Bureau of Criminal Investigations, also worked with the Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad, is the department’s eighth captain. Also promoted was Sgt.
