Weston Man Allegedly Crashes Truck Then Flees Scene, Reports It Stolen, Police Say
A Weston man was arrested after allegedly telling police that his vehicle had been stolen following an accident.
William Pilato, 39, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 20, following an investigation into a crash that took place around 9 p.m. in the area of Cannon Road, said the Wilton Police Department.
According to police, when officers arrived on the scene of the crash they found that a Chevy Silverado truck had run off the roadway, struck two utility poles, and continued for about 30 yards until it came to a stop.
The crash caused the utility poles to break and fall across the roadway as well…
